Clear Block Stamping Instructions

As promised, the Step by Step Instructions for the Clear Block Stamping are quite easy.  You just have to remember to use a light touch when touching the Clear Block A to the Stamp Pad; otherwise, you will have much darker colors.

The pictures taken below do not match the finished card because I forgot to take the pictures as I was doing it.   But you will get the idea.

I wanted to use the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper because the colors used to create this beautiful paper reminded me of what I saw in my vision of my card.

The Stampin’ UP! Stamp Pads that I had scattered around my workplace are: Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Sahara Sand.

Gathering the Ink Pads You Want to use

When applying the inked (with Marina Mist) Clear Block to your Whisper White Cardstock, use a circular motion.  Sometimes, your hand forgets to move and you end up with an image of the clear block.

Using a Circular Motion applying the ink

Each image you apply will be different.  Since the clear block doesn’t hold a lot of ink, you will need to repeat the motion in the various areas that you want the blue.

I added a bit of Soft Sky into the Marina Mist design.

Adding dabs of Soft Sky Ink

Knowing that I was going to add more greens, I just added a a touch of Old Olive.   Notice that I didn’t move my hand quick enough and I have a square image on the cardstock.

Adding the Beautiful Fall Colors

Adding in Soft Suede, but after I added it, I realized it was too dark for my card.  That is the main reason why the dirt is a lot lighter on the Finished Product.

Adding Crumb Cake to lighten up the dirt.

The Finishing Touches

In the finished product, I decided not to use the Soft Suede.   Instead, I used the Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand.  I also used Crushed Curry in the leaves.

Enjoy before the Winter arrives.

As you can see from all the ink applied, different shapes form.  I would love to see your creations.

Christmas Tree with Cats & Dogs

The animals want to get involved in Christmas this year so they have created a Christmas Tree with Cats & Dogs.

Out of all the cards Jennifer Gulch created using the Stampin’ UP! Santa Paws stamp set, this is my favorite.

I had so much fun coloring the animals in their own personalities – I couldn’t imagine owning all these pets – would definitely need a larger house.

Quick – Where is the Camera?

Feline Carolers

This cute card featuring the Feline Carolers was really easy to recreate.   This is another one of the cute cards we created  on our Scrap N Paper Caribbean Cruise 2017 with Jennifer Gulch the last week of September 2017.

Adhesive is used on the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper, Foil Snowflakes, and the black scalloped circle.  If you wish you can adhere the Foil Snowflake a little more to the left so that you don’t have to trim the edges off.  The Feline Carolers is stamped using the Archival Black Ink Pad and I used the Layering Circle Frramelits to cut out the circle; however, you can also use the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch.   I used Dimensionals to Pop-Up the Carolers to accent them.  The tag is stamped onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and then trimmed to the correct size.  Scissors are used to make the cutouts on the ends.  Dimensionals are also used on the sentiment.

Good Tidings of Great Joy

Good Tidings of Great Joy was going to be a tag, but when I purchased the Dies by Dave “Cross-Stitched” Banner Pennant Die Set, the beauty of the Die warranted its own card.

Using Stampin’ UP! Good Tidings Stamp Set was a challenge because all these stamps are two-step stamping. Are you asking yourself, “What is two-step stamping”? Inside the stamp case are two stamps for each image. For this card, I used a lighter color (Emerald Envy) and (Old Olive) stamp pads for the darker image stamp. Then I used (Garden Green) for the lighter image stamp. If you look at the two stamps closely, the darker image is flat and the lighter image has some texture. The same is true for the other stamps in this set.

The Christmas Tag was used with the same set. I just love the effect of the two-step stamping.

If you have any questions, please post a note and I will respond.

The Excitement is Boiling….

The Excitement is Boiling in my stomach as the finishing touches are put into place for my last class of 2017.

A Christmas theme is happening at 7:00 PM EST and again in the morning of 18 October 2017 at 9:30 AM EST.

Just to give you a tease — two photographs — the setup and the display of projects.

A Big Thank You for Jennifer Thamert Gulch for creating the cards using the “Santa Paws” stamp set to benefit the stray animals that have been displaced from Hurricane Harvey’s destruction.

Thank You to Pat Ertman for creating a card that we had swapped on the Scrap & Paper Caribbean Cruise 2017 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas Western Caribbean Cruise in September.
